
She leaves behind her son Ray, daughter in law Louise and granddaughter Robin , and Robin’s family, Vanessa and Canito all of North Fort Myers, FL. She also leaves her Stepson Randell Roy, daughter in law Kathryn , grandchildren Joshua , Emilie and Rebekah. 3 Great grandchildren Jackson, Scarlett and Weston.
She graduated from Freeport High School in 1941. She served as the Town Clerk of Freeport for 21 years, retiring in 1985. Phyllis was also Chairwoman of the Voter Board of Registration for 10 yrs.
Very active in the community she was a life long member and past president of the J Arthur Stowell Unit #83 American Legion Auxiliary, past president of the Cumberland County City and Town Clerks Assoc., past Matron of Casco Chapter O.E.S #160, past president of Matron’s Assoc., and Treasurer of Grove Cemetery Association for 28 yrs. Over the years of being a Notary Public, Justice of the Peace and Dedimus Justice, she performed over 450 weddings.
Visiting hours will be Thursday Oct 27th, 6 to 8 PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where a funeral service will be held Friday Oct 28th at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Freeport.
