CAPE ELIZABETH
Morse High School goaltender Marissa Parks turned shot after shot away during the Shipbuilders’ Class B South quarterfinal contest against fourth-seeded Cape Elizabeth on Wednesday.
Problem was the Capers (8-5-2) kept coming, and despite 16 saves from Parks, Morse fell, 3-0, ending its season with a 13-3 record.
Late in the first half, Riley Dall sent one of Cape Elizabeth’s 10 corner kicks toward the Morse goal. Mariah Deschino touched a pass to Karli Chapin, who slipped a shot into the cage for a 1-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Prezli Piscopo scored twice to put the Capers in the driver’s seat, sending Cape Elizabeth to Saturday’s showdown with top-seeded Yarmouth.

The seventh-seeded Falcons held tough against Greely, but the second-seeded Rangers used two goals from Ellie Schad to capture a Class B South quarterfinal win at Cumberland on Wednesday.
Schad scored her two goals in the first half.
Anna DeWolfe added a second-half goal for the Rangers to hold off Freeport, which finished 8- 6-2.
Greely (11-4) will host third-seeded York on Saturday in the semifinals.
