TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School eight-grade boys soccer team defeated rival Brunswick, 5-2 on Tuesday.
Austin Berry opened the scoring for Mt. Ararat off a cross from Sebastian Scherry just eight minutes into the game. Jonah Zell scored off another cross from Scherry less than six minutes later.
Five minutes before the half, Jesse Dasch scored off a shot outside the 18-yard box. In the second, Scherry opened the scoring off a pass from Jesse Dasch.
Scherry scored the final goal off a William Hagan pass.
