Three members of the Boston Red Sox got a nod for their defensive prowess Thursday when Major League Baseball announced the finalists for the Gold Glove awards.

Second baseman Dustin Pedroia, center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and right fielder Mookie Betts were among the top three at their positions in the American League voting. Ballots are cast by managers and coaches throughout the league.

Pedroia, who has won four Gold Gloves, is in the second base running with Seattle’s Robinson Cano and Detroit’s Ian Kinsler.

The other AL center field finalists are Kevin Pillar of the Blue Jays and Kevin Kiermaier of the Rays, while the other right fielders are Adam Eaton of the White Sox and George Springer of the Astros.

Bradley and Betts are both seeking their first Gold Glove.

The winners will be announced Nov. 8.
