WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. (AP) — Police say a 17-yearold Vermont girl missing for more than three weeks has been found safe.
Police say Autumn Sanville, of Weathersfield, was found Sunday afternoon at the Royalton home of her boyfriend, 22-year-old Shadoe Benson.
Sanville, a Springfield High School junior, was last seen getting into a car at the Springfield boat launch on Oct. 6. Her locked car was found with the contents of her school bag inside.
Police had said that Sanville made several comments to friends that she was planning to run away.
Authorities say Benson’s father returned unexpectedly to the home and found Sanville in the kitchen. He had his son contact police. Police say Benson repeatedly denied knowledge of Sanville’s whereabouts.
Police are still investigating the case.
