
The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference has announced its 2016 fall sport awards and academic honors.
KVAC Class A golf honors went to Mt. Ararat’s Cade Charron, Caleb Manuel and Cam Cox, along with Brunswick’s Bronte Fontaine, Emma Park and Zach Grant.

All-Academic honors are Brunswick’s Madeline Suhr, and Mt. Ararat’s Joseph Beale and Cox.
In KVAC Class B girls soccer, Morse’s Amanda Gagne garnered First Team honors, with Emily Martin and Noa Sreden receiving Second Team nods. Paige Daigle, Hope Faulkingham and Sreden received All-Academic honors.
In KVAC Class B boys soccer, goaltender Alex Fernald received Second Team honors and made the grades to make the All-Academic team.
Maeve Arthur and Kira Wolpow led the KVAC Class A girls soccer honors with First Team recognition, while Mt. Ararat’s Lauren Labbay and Anna Manuel are Second Team members. Several Eagles and Dragons received All-Academic honors. Brunswick’s Dina Murphy, Aiden Sachs, Sabina Smith and Wolpow, along with Mt. Ararat’s Nicole Bradstreet, Katelyn Cox, Mikala Dwelley, Kate Guerin, Labbay, Brooke Matthews, Karley McCourt, Emily McCracken, Sabrina Paetow and Ashley Parker received the grades.
In boys KVAC Class A soccer, Mt. Ararat second-year coach Jack Rioux is the Coach of the Year, with players James Hutchinson and Travis Nadeau making the First Team, while Jimmy Pelletier earned Second Team recognition. Cole Guerin made the All-Academic team.
Brunswick’s Josh Dorr was named to the Second Team and the All-Academic team, along with teammate Sawyer Nicholson (All-Academic).
KK Fifield picked up KVAC Class B field hockey honors by making the All- Conference team. Mt. Ararat netminder Haley Frizzle was selected for the KVAC Class A First Team in field hockey, while teammate Magan Thomas-Copland was selected for the Second Team, along with Brunswick’s Anna Webster. Earning All- Academic honors were Brunswick’s Elena Dugal, Hannah Escoe, Lauren Grochell, Keturah Stinson and Webster, and Mt. Ararat’s Karlie Brillant, Maia Carlson, Frizzle, Porter Gauvin, Sam Gonyea and Alana Weaver.
And, in KVAC cheering, Brunswick’s Riley Tupper and Morse’s Angel Moore and Lexi Wright made the All-Academic team.
