We would like to take a moment to thank the people of Poland Spring Water Company for their donation of bottled water to our department. The members of Limington Fire and EMS greatly appreciate the donation.
In the past, we have received donations of bottled water about twice a year. We use this water for
rehabilitation of working crews during incidents and training sessions that involve labor-intensive physical activity. The bottled water helps to prevent heat related illnesses and other medical problems.
Each year as public service budgets dwindle, departments can afford less and less. This makes Poland Springs kindness in donating the bottled water to our department more appreciated than ever.
We feel that citizens should know about the support that Poland Springs has given to help the members of the Limington Fire and EMS department.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
