SPRINGVALE — A free public presentation, “4-H Robotics: How We Explore!”, will highlight the York County Extension Association annual meeting, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17 at Anderson Learning Center, 21 Bradeen St., Springvale.
Sally Farrell, University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H professional in York County, will demonstrate robotics and explain how youth in 4-H are encouraged to learn basic scientific and mathematical principles, as well as teamwork, through their exploration, design and operation of robots in a variety of settings.
Farrell will also discuss opportunities for youth and families in UMaine Extension’s volunteer-based 4-H program.
