A woman escaped major injury after her car rolled along Route 125 in Bowdoin early Sunday afternoon, leaving her trapped in the vehicle.
The crash was reported near Store Road at 12:38 p.m.
Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Deputy Al Huntington said Tiffanie Taylor, 33, of Topsham was traveling west on Route 125 toward Store Road when the crash occurred. It appears Taylor overcorrected when her vehicle began to leave the road. The car hit a stone wall, causing it to flip over.
Witnesses said the car rolled at least a couple times before coming to rest on its side.
Taylor was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters from Bowdoin and Bowdoinham worked together to stabilize the car and free the driver. Lisbon Emergency transported her to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with injuries that weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Huntington said according to witnesses headed east on Route 125, there were two vehicles behind Taylor during the crash that didn’t stop.
No charges were issued.
