The Freeport Town Council was scheduled to swear in newly elected members and choose new officers at its organizational meeting on Tuesday night, Nov. 15.
The meeting was held after the Tri-Town Weekly’s publication deadline.
John Egan and Peter Anzuini are new councilors, and Vice Chairman D. Scott Gleeson was re-elected. Anzuini is assuming a one-year term to succeed Kristina Egan, who resigned in July. All three ran unopposed.
The council also will recognize outgoing member James Hendricks, a former chairman.
Melanie Sachs has been council chairwoman for two years, and Gleeson also has served for two years as vice chairman.
The next Town Council meeting, during which councilors will resume regular business, is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 6.
