BATH
Bath police arrested a man early Sunday morning they say allegedly pointed a handgun at another man following an altercation outside a local restaurant.
Police arrested Edwin Melvin, 46, of Bath at 1:35 a.m. and charged him with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Bath Police Lt. Robert Savary said there was an altercation between Melvin and the other man in the parking lot at Riverside Bar and Grille. Melvin allegedly pulled out a Glock handgun and pointed it at the other man threateningly before driving away.
Officers located Melvin at his home and arrested him. Savary said police confiscated the gun, which at that point was loaded.
Melvin is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 20.
