Twig the Wompkee appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday, marking the 20th consecutive parade appearance by a Wompkee, the longest continuously participating costume character in the parade’s history. Twig is one of six Wompkee creatures, the creation of Windham residents Con Fullam and Maura Clarke, featured in two animated children’s movies and an interactive e-book.
