Paper, Not Plastic
I believe it is laudable for our towns and cities to ban plastic bags, Styrofoam and other types of plastic packaging. But in this state of paper-makers, it is wrong to ban paper bags. Not only are paper bags (hopefully made in Maine) useful, but they are recyclable, as well as biodegradable. Until plastic came along, we never had such a huge problem as plastics destroying our environment, fish and various other wildlife.
Ban plastics, but keep paper.
