THE 35TH ANNUAL Westlake Wrestling Tournament was held on Saturday at Bath Middle School, with 14 teams taking part. The tournament is named in honor of Steven J. Westlake, a former Morse High School wrestler who was lost at sea with his friend Randy Fuller on July 1, 1982. For 21 days, searchers combed the ocean and islands in the hopes of finding the duo. As usual, a big crowd turned out to watch the matches. In the photos, clockwise from the top of the page, Lisbon’s Daniel Bolton looks to escape the clutches of Lincoln Academy’s Kyle Baty; Hyde’s Able Kaplan, right, looks to get an early edge; Morse wrestler Gaige Kindlimann looks to the referee before pinning his opponent; and Mt. Ararat/Brunswick’s Connor Foye is about to score a pinfall victory. Turn to B3 for meet results.
