KENNEBUNK—Donald Normand Perreault, 71, a resident of Kennebunk, died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

Donald was born Sept. 16, 1945 in Biddeford, a son of Raymond and Theresa (Lavigne) Perreault. He attended Biddeford schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Donald worked in the lumberyard industry for over 20 years, working at Fox Lumber and Hancock Lumber. He worked as a lift truck operator in Saco and at Ben’s Flooring in Biddeford.

Donald enjoyed watching westerns, especially with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, and he also enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his niece, Susie Gott Kauffman, and her family of Connecticut.

Susie would like to extend a special thank you to Donald’s caregiver, Jennifer Archer, for the wonderful care she provided over the years.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Bibber Memorial Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
