THE TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION of Maine and the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association selected Mt. Ararat Middle School STEM Teacher, Sandy Bickford as the recipient of the 2017 T.E.E.A.M./ I.T.E.E.A. Teacher Excellence Award. This is a competitive award given each year to one outstanding Technology and Engineering Educator in Maine.Bickford will be formally honored at the T.E.E.A.M. Spring Conference March 17 at the Waterville Area High School; at the Annual Conference of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association, the I.T.E.E.A., from March 16-18, in Dallas, Texas and at the New England Association of Technology Teachers Conference in Fall 2017. The school held an assembly on November 30, 2016 to recognize Bickford. Grade 8 students Austin Berry and Colby Merryman presented her with the award.
