
She was born on Jan. 21, 1928 to Ludger and Lydia (Beaupre) Binette in Biddeford. She was educated in the Biddeford schools, graduating from St. Joseph High School, class of 1945.
On June 10, 1950, she married Laurent “Larry” R. Paquette at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. They shared 59 years together until his death on April 21, 2009.
Therese worked at the Biddeford-Saco Water Co. then “retired” to stay home and raise her children. Once her children were raised, she went back to work as a teacher’s aide at St. Joseph Grammar School, where she worked for 14 years until her retirement. She dedicated her life to her family, always making sure that everyone was taken care of and always putting the family’s needs above her own.
She enjoyed cooking/baking always preparing home cooked meals. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and working on crossword puzzles. She also volunteered for St. Joseph church assisting with services, luncheons, etc.
She is preceded in death by a son, Bruce Paquette on June 24, 2005; a grandson, Nicholas Paquette on July 7, 2010; two sisters, Lucienne Gobeil and Constance Tremblay; and three brothers, Rene, Fernand and Leo Binette.
Therese is survived by two sons, Ronald Paquette and his wife, Linda, of Biddeford and Robert Paquette and his wife, Dawn, of Biddeford; two daughters, Suzanne Wiegand and her husband, Thomas, of Holden, Massachusetts and Karen Laverriere and her husband, Michael, of Biddeford; six grandchildren, Amanda Paquette, Aron Paquette and his wife, Anne, Stephanie Laverriere, Kimberly Paquette, Michelle Laverriere and Kristen Laverriere; two great-grandchildren, Henry and Maisy Paquette; two sisters, Lauria Gobeil of Biddeford, and Doris Cote and her husband, Leo, of Biddeford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting Hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Therese’s name may be made to St. James School, 25 Graham St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
