BIDDEFORD—William F. Fulford, III, 29, of Biddeford, died suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016.

He was born Sept. 18, 1987 in Dover, New Hampshire, the son of William F. and Maureen M. (Murray) Fulford, Jr.

William was a graduate of Kennebunk High School in 2006 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Southern Maine in 2010.

On July 9, 2016, he married the love of his life, Ashley Potvin at St. Joseph Church.

Will had been employed by the Biddeford School Department where he had been both a teacher and an exceptional coach. He was also the assistant Cross Country coach at the University of New England where he started the Track & Field Club. He enjoyed running, hiking, reading and writing but especially spending time with Ashley and his family. He was also an avid New England sports fan.

Preceding him in death was his father-in-law, Joel Potvin; his paternal grandfather, William F. Fulford; his maternal grandfather John J. Murray; and his maternal grandmother, Veronica T. Murray.

Surviving are his wife, Ashley Potvin-Fulford of Biddeford; his parents, Maureen and William F. Fulford Jr. of Kennebunk; his two brothers, Jonathan Fulford and his fiancée, Raven Dufoe, of Kennebunkport and Patrick Fulford of Kennebunk; his grandmother, Sydney S. Fulford of New Canaan, Connecticut; his brother in law, Matthew Potvin and his wife, Meghan, of Biddeford; his mother-in-law, Marie Potvin of Biddeford; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visiting Hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 2016 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 17 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.
