CASCO (AP) — A pedestrian has been killed in a hit-and-run in Maine.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says a 56-year-old woman was struck Sunday evening in Casco near the Naples town line.
The sheriff’s office doesn’t have a description of the vehicle, but based on evidence at the scene, authorities believe it was a Volkswagen.
They have not released the name of the woman, pending notification of her family.
No other information was immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
