BRUNSWICK
A Brunswick man was arrested early Friday morning and charged with aggravated assault.
Brunswick police were called to a Beaver Pond Road home for a domestic disturbance at 1:28 a.m.
According to Brunswick Police Cmdr. Tom Garrepy, a female victim alleged that Theodore Yates, 31, of Brunswick, attempted to strangle her. The woman was not transported.
Garrepy said Yates was charged with aggravated assault, which is a Class B felony punishable by up to ten years incarceration and a $20,000 fine.
No bail was allowed and Yates was taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
