WALES
Cody Roberts led the way with 19 points, nine boards and five blocks as the Wiscasset High School boys basketball team earned a 55-49 Mountain Valley Conference win over Oak Hill on Tuesday.
Roberts also tallied four steals and three assists, while Ethan James scored 17 points and pulled in a game-high 16 rebounds on top of two steals and two blocks. Nate Woodman finished with eight points and eight boards. Wiscasset (5-2) led at the quarter breaks, 18-10, 30-19 and 42-29.
Oak Hill was led by Evan Boston, who scored six fourth-quarter points and finished with a team-high 14 overall. Marcus Bailey sunk two free throws and finished with 11 points, while Darryn Bailey totaled 10 and Cohen Donnell seven.
Wiscasset visits Boothbay on Jan. 3 at 7 p.m.

The host Panthers pulled away in the second half for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Brunswick at Waldoboro.
Medomak Valley (7-0) led 18-9, 27-17 and 44-26 at the quarter breaks.
Kyle Donlin popped for a game-high 26 points in the win, along with five assists and five steals. Cameron Allaire chipped in 13 points and eight boards.
Nate Benoit drained three 3-pointers to lead Brunswick (3-3) with nine points. Sam Sharpe added six points.
The Dragons host Edward Little on Friday at 3 p.m.
Girls basketball
BRUNSWICK — Brunswick jumped out to a 17-5 first-quarter lead en route to a 49-35 KVAC win over Medomak Valley on Tuesday.
The Dragons improved to 5- 1 and host Edward Little on Friday at 1 p.m.
Charlotte MacMillan led Brunswick with 14 points, while Madeline Suhr picked up 12 points, nine steals and six blocked shots. Aidan Sachs chipped in 10 points.
Gabby DePatsy paced Medomak Valley with 13 points.

A tough start to the season continued for the Wolverines against the visiting Raiders, who jumped out to an early 11-3 lead in the opening frame and never looked back in MVC action.
The two teams split 16 points in the second, but Oak Hill still led 11-3, 19-11 and 29-17 at the quarter breaks.
Hayhlee Craig paced Wiscasset (1-6) with 11 of her team’s 21 points and pulled in six rebounds on top of five steals. Grace Webber tallied four points, while Maeve Blodgett and Shannon James split four. The Wolverines shot just 29.4 percent from the field.
Oak Hill’s Desirae Dumais scored a game-high 19 points to pace the Raiders.
Wiscasset returns to the court on Thursday for a 7 p.m. game at Winthrop.
Girls hockey
NORTH YARMOUTH — Defending state champion St. Dom’s scored five goals in the first period for a 10-3 victory over Yarmouth/ Freeport/Gray-New Gloucester on Tuesday at Travis Roy Arena.
Sydney St. Pierre, Margaret Parotta and Caroline Grant scored a goal each for the Clippers, who fell to 5-5 and faces a rematch with the Saints Jan. 4 at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.
