PORTLAND — The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, announced today that the Boston Celtics have assigned forward Jordan Mickey to the Maine Red Claws. Mickey is expected to join the Red Claws for their game tomorrow at Raptors 905, and joins rookie Demetrius Jackson as the second member of the Celtics currently on assignment with the Red Claws.
Mickey has played in two games for Maine this season, averaging 16.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. Last season, Mickey played in 22 games with the Red Claws, averaging 17.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and a NBA D-League-leading 4.4 blocks per game. Mickey was named NBA D-League Player of the Month for December 2015.
The Red Claws return to the Portland Expo on Dec. 31 for a 1 p.m. matinee against Windy City. Limited tckets are on sale and can be purchased by calling 207-210-6655 or visiting MaineRedClaws.com.
