The Mason family of New Gloucester celebrates their newest member, Ryan, who came into the world at 1:54 Christmas morning. He is the son of Alicia and Eric Mason and the brother of Colby. Ryan was born at Mercy Hospital in Portland. The hospital said that while it is traditional to recognize the first baby born in the new year, Mercy, as a Catholic institution, also wanted to recognize its first baby born of Christmas. Ryan weighed in at 9 pounds, 5 ounces.
