SALEM, Mass. — Former Freeport High School standout Nina Davenport powered her way to a double-double, leading the Bates College women’s basketball team to a 70-45 victory over D’Youville on Friday in the consolation game of the Salem State Women’s Holiday Tournament on Friday.
Davenport had 28 points and 11 rebounds as the Bobcats improved to 3-7. She earned All-Tournament honors as she made 10-of-17 from the floor, including four 3- pointers.
On Friday, Bates fell to MIT, 82-52 despite eight points from Davenport.
The Bobcats visit Keene State on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
