She was born in Auburn, Maine on October 10, 1930, a daughter of the late Albert and Eva (Galarneau) Larochelle. She attended local schools before enlisting in The United States Marine Corps in 1957. It was in the Marine Corps where she met her future husband, Phillip Ebner. They were married on December 19, 1964 in San Diego, California. Phillip predeceased her on December 24, 2007. She was honorably discharged in 1964 and began raising her young family. She was a lifetime homemaker and mother to her four boys in the Lewiston and Lisbon Falls area. She enjoyed camping vacations to the lakes and ocean and fishing with her boys. She also enjoyed Candlepin bowling for many years. Most of all she loved spending time with her six grandchildren, spoiling them endlessly in the process. She will be remembered for her delicious mashed potatoes which cannot be duplicated.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
