TOPSHAM — The Morse High School girls jayvee basketball team led throughout in a 36-30 win over rival Mt. Ararat recently.
Dory Kulis and Rosa Atienza split 16 points for the Shipbuilders, who led at the quarter breaks, 10-6, 20-9 and 28-20. Paige Faulkingham notched seven points.
Theresa Breed paced Mt. Ararat (4-4) with a game-best 11 points (7-of-10 on free throws) and eight rebounds. Ainsley Bryant had 10 points and three steals, and Abby Sirois pulled in nine rebounds.
