Maine State Music Theatre and Portland Stage will collaborate a second time this August. The show title will be announced April 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale to Portland Stage and MSMT Subscribers on April 4 and to the General Public on May 1.

Last season, MSMT and Portland Stage collaborated to bring Frank McCourt’s musical “The Irish … And How They Got That Way” to local audiences.

“Our audience is still talking about ‘The Irish … And How They Got That Way,’ our first collaborative project with MSMT,” said Anita Stewart, executive and artistic director of Portland Stage. “So after our first hit, I’m looking forward partnering with MSMT for a second time on a great production to be announced April 3rd.”

“This collaboration with Portland Stage just makes sense,” Curt Dale Clark, artistic director for MSMT, said. “When arts organizations work together the end result is even greater than the sum of its parts. We are delighted to partner once again with Portland Stage on this beautiful production of a play that I know both of our audiences and the whole community will love.”

Performances will be at Portland Stage, 25A Forest Avenue, between Congress and Cumberland in Portland.
