Moosehead Togue Derby, all day in Greenville
The Moosehead Lake region will again host a togue derby that draws 1,000 to 3,000 fishermen. There will be cash prizes for the three biggest togue. Those who aren’t fishing can enter drawings for door prizes. Tickets are on sale at NRECmoosehead.org.

Moosehead Sled Dog Race, 9 a.m. Feb. 4 in Greenville
The Wilderness Sled Dog Race starts at the Leisure Life Resort, with mushers and dog teams racing through 70 miles of forested mountain trails in the Moosehead region. Spectators can witness both the 70-mile race, which starts at 9 a.m., and the 30-mile race at 10 a.m. For more information, go to 100milewildernessrace.org or call 695-2421.
Super Bowl Trek, 11 a.m. Feb. 5 in Augusta
The Viles Arboretum is again hosting its Table Tour Trek on Super Bowl Sunday. Participants come to snowshoe, ski and hike on groomed trails and enjoy food from Augusta restaurants. Come get exercise and share in a large feast before the game. Tickets support the work at the arboretum. The cost is $20 for adults, $5 for children. Call 626-7989. U.S. Toboggan Championships, Feb. 10-12 in Camden
As many as 425 teams are expected for the U.S. National Toboggan Championships at Camden Snow Bowl. Teams compete on a 400-foot chute that sends sleds onto Hosmer Pond. Registration is $30 per person and ends Feb. 1. Go to camdensnowbowl.com/toboggan-championships.
