LISBON

Sean Scott ripped off five 3- pointers for 15 points as the Lisbon High School boys basketball team cruised to a 62-43 Mountain Valley Conference win over Telstar on Friday.

Jonah Sautter chipped in 13 points, Tyrese Joseph 12 and Henry Doyle 11 as the Greyhounds improved to 8-7.

Lisbon pulled away after a 10-10 first quarter deadlock, taking a 26-18 advantage to the intermission. The Greyhounds out-scored the Rebels, 16-7, in the third quarter.

Lisbon hosts Mt. Abram on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

BIDDEFORD 63

Nate Benoit scored the go-ahead basket with 15 seconds remaining in the second overtime as the Dragons held off the Tigers (6-8) in a Class A South contest.

Brunswick (8-7) trailed by nine points in the fourth quarter, but rallied to tie it as Jesse Devereaux (15 points) hit a long 3-pointer.

In the first overtime, Brunswick led, but Kyle Norton, who scored a game-high 22 points, made three treys to send the game to a second overtime.

After a Brunswick timeout, Benoit hit a runner for a 64-63 Dragons lead. Leading 65-63, Jackson Gordon made 1-of-2 at the free-throw line and Biddeford missed on the other end.

Corban Teel chipped in 14 points for Brunswick, while Josh Dorr added 12. The Dragons were 22-of-34 from the free-throw line.

RICHMOND 66

RANGELEY 33

Matt Rines, Zach Small, Cody Tribbet and Matt Holt each scored in double figures as the Bobcats bounced back from their first loss with an East-West Conference win at Rangeley.

Rines had 15 points, Small and Tribbet 14 apiece, and Holt 13 as Richmond, which hosts Islesboro on Friday at 6 p.m., improved to 13-1.

The Bobcats held quarter leads of 22-8, 34-17 and 49-22.

The host Blue Devils pulled away in the third quarter for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over the Shipbuilders, who fell to 3-11 and host Erskine Academy on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

After taking an 11-5 and 32-17 advantage at the first two quarter breaks, Lewiston (3-11) put up 25 third-quarter points for a 57-25 edge.

Desmond Jackson scored 14 of his game-high 18 points in the second quarter, while Ibn Khalid had 16 points, 12 coming in the third.

Dakota Freeman and Parker Onorato paced Morse with 11 and eight points, respectively.

The visiting Roadrunners edged Wiscasset in MVC action.

Mt. Abram sank 21-of-32 free throws in the win, while Wiscasset was 9-of-12 from the charity stripe.

Dan Luce paced the Roadrunners with 20 points.

Wiscasset (9-7) received 13 points from Ethan James and Logan Orr had 12.

The Eagles walked off with a KVAC win in Topsham.

Ryan Mello led Mt. Ararat (3-10) with 16 points and played solid defense, while Jared Balser and Max Spelke each chipped in 10 points.

Mt. Ararat is scheduled to visit Oceanside on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

BRUNSWICK — Sabrina Armstrong nailed four 3- pointers and scored 16 points as Brunswick downed Biddeford, 65-31, in Class A South action on Friday.

Armstrong also picked up five rebounds and four assists, while Madeline Suhr scored 12 points, pulled in nine caroms and dished out five helpers. Brooke Barter added 10 points and Aidan Sachs had eight.

The Dragons, who improved to 12-3 and visit Leavitt on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., claimed quarter leads of 19-7, 31-16 and 51-19.

Grace Martin paced Biddeford (1-13) with 10 points.

The Bobcats stayed unbeaten with a dominating E-WC win at Rangeley.

Richmond, which handed the Lakers a 43-18 setback on Dec. 9, started strong again, leading 12-2 after a quarter. After a low-scoring second quarter (Richmond led 16-7 at the intermission), the Bobcats out-scored Rangeley (11-3), 16-6, in the third quarter to put the game away.

Sydney Underhill-Tilton had a double-double with 26 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Mackenzie Abbott added nine points, four steals and three assists, while Meranda Martin chipped in six points, six boards and five steals.

Richmond hosts Hyde on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

The visiting Blue Devils held Morse to single digits in each quarter for a KVAC win at Bath Middle School.

Lewiston (7-7) held quarter leads of 13-5, 22-10 and 33- 13 en route to the victory, dropping the Shipbuilders to 4-10.

Morgan Eliasen and Victoria Harris led the Blue Devils with 10 and nine points, respectively.

Noa Sreden picked up nine points and eight rebounds for Morse, which visits Erskine Academy on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Charlotte Messer had a game-high 21 points as the host Windjammers downed Mt. Ararat in KVAC play at Camden Hills.

Sabrina Paetow had a solid game for Mt. Ararat (2-11) with 13 points, followed by Nikki Bradstreet with 10 and Kyla Greenleaf with nine.

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday at home versus Oceanside (6 p.m.).

A fourth-quarter rally came up short as the Wolverines fell in MVC play to the Roadrunners.

Wiscasset trailed 15-10, 26-18 and 36-28 at the breaks, but scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to make it close.

Hayhlee Craig had 15 points for the Wolverines (1-14), while Maeve Blodgett pitched in 11.

Summer Ross scored a game-high 18 points for Mt. Abram (8-6), with teammate Lindsey Huff adding 13.

Wiscasset hosts Winthrop on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

A 21-12 scoring advantage was enough as the host Ramblers (9-6) held off the Greyhounds (8-8) on Saturday.

Lisbon, which visits Mt. Abram on Wednesday at 7 p.m., trailed 12-10 after a quarter, 33- 22 at the half and 41-31 through three.

Kena Souza had 14 points for Winthrop. For Lisbon, Kaylin Le picked up 14 points, Giana Russo 10 and Jasmin Le eight.

Girls hockey

BRUNSWICK — Beth Labbe had a goal and two assists as Brunswick earned a big 3-1 victory over York/Traip on Friday at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

Jenna Brooks opened the scoring on the power play just 5:52 into the contest, with Labbe and Anna Webster assisting.

Labbe doubled the lead at 12:44 of the second frame, with Rayna Sage getting an assist. Brooks’ second goal 3:29 into the third period, from Labbe, made it a 3-0 contest.

York/Traip found the back of the net on a Grace Campbell goal with 6:38 remaining.

Marilyn Daniel had 25 saves in the Brunswick cage, while Wildcats keeper Sophie Stevens turned away 15 shots.

Brunswick is 8-8 and visits Edward Little/Leavitt/ Poland on Wednesday at 8:20 p.m.

Boys hockey

BRUNSWICK — York received two goals and an assist from Jacob Martin en route to a 7-0 Class B South win over Brunswick on Friday at Watson Arena.

The Dragons fell to 2-9-1 and visit Greely on Feb. 9. York improved to 9-1.

Riley Kirk turned away 22 shots in the Brunswick cage.

The visiting Tigers earned a win over South Portland/ Freeport/Waynflete on Saturday.

Logan Magnant scored two goals for Biddeford (8-4). Colin Petit broke a 1-1 tie 9:03 into the opening period for the game-winning goal, and Ricky Ruck picked up a goal and an assist.

Gus Lappin scored the lone goal for the Red Riots, who fell to 4-7-1 and hosts Cape Elizabeth on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
