
Madeleine attended St. John’s School and Brunswick High School. She worked at various jobs in Brunswick; her favorite was working for M/M Thistle at the Brunswick Dress Shop.
Madeleine married SSGT W.T. Moss, Jr., USMC at St. John’s Church, Brunswick, in October of 1946. He died in the Korean War Sept. 1950. She once said the four years she was married were the happiest of her life.
Madeleine was a parishioner of St. John’s Church- All Saints Parish, a member of the Third Order of Mary, and The Prayer Group. She also volunteered at the church office in the early 1980’s. Her hobbies included sewing, embroidery, word searches, playing cards and especially loved music and dancing.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary and her husband Paul of Pennsylvania; Ann and her husband Paul of Brunswick; granddaughter Mara and her husband Rick of Orono; and nieces and nephews in Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. John’s Church January 28, 2017. Burial will take place in the spring at St. John’s cemetery.
