POLAND (AP) — Authorities in Maine say a driver was critically injured when his pickup truck collided head-on with a tractor-trailer in Poland.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the truck, 55-year-old David Seeley, had to be extricated from his vehicle Wednesday. He was hospitalized in critical condition.
Authorities say Seeley, of Gray, was headed east on state Route 122 when it collided with the tractor-trailer traveling west. Lt. Glenn Holt says the driver of the tractor-trailer was treated for minor injuries.
The state Department of Environmental Protection was called to clean up the scene after a fuel tank ruptured, causing the truck to leak.
Authorities are investigating.
