SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. — Albert P. Corbeil, 87, of South Windsor, husband of the late Yolande (Demers) Corbeil, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. 

He was born on Dec. 3, 1929, in Biddeford, Maine, son of the late Alcide and Albina (Ducharme) Corbeil.  He served with the U.S. Army National Guard from 1947 to 1950. 

He was married to the love of his life, Yolande Demers on Aug. 2, 1954 and together they lived in Hartford, before settling in South Windsor in 1963.  He worked as a carpenter for the Local #43 in Hartford for many years.  Albert enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and working around his home. 

He leaves his daughter, Susan Giansanti, and her husband Richard of South Windsor; two sisters, Lea Gobeil and her husband Robert, and Arline Marcotte all of Maine and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Maurice, Ulysses and Aldric Corbeil. 

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Ellington Road, South Windsor.  Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor.  There are no calling hours.
