HARPSWELL — Nancy Lee (Cole) Moody, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at her home on Potts Point. Nancy was born December 1, 1933, in Lewiston, to Raymond and Mabel (Ramsdell) Cole. She grew up in Lewiston, and graduated from Lewiston High School with the class of 1951.

Nancy was married January 13, 1956, to Clifford W. Moody Jr.

She had volunteered with the Ladies Auxiliary at Regional Memorial Hospital in Brunswick. Nancy appreciated the arts. She enjoyed attending the theater, visiting museums of fine art, and playing the piano. She especially enjoyed the Aeolian Concerts at Bowdoin College.

She had a very keen mind and loved to read, as exemplified by her tremendous library. Nancy loved beautiful flowers and dressing to the nines in the latest styles. Some of her fondest memories were of entertaining the family in her home, which was always decorated with panache for every holiday. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed traveling. Her favorite trip was with Karin to Europe in 2001.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Clifford W. Moody Jr., a daughter, Kathy Ann Moody, and her sister, Gloria, and her husband, Raymond

Hobart.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Karin Lynn (Moody) Dionne, of Harpswell; a niece, Brenda Nolan, and her husband, Bill, of Auburn; nephews, Bruce Hobart, and his wife, Ann, of Mechanic Falls, and Jeffrey Hobart and his wife, Patti, of Massachusetts.

Visiting hours will be from 4-6pm Tuesday April 11, 2017, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St. in Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday April 12, at the funeral home with Rev. Rev. Ron McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be in the West Harpswell Cemetery.
