SACO — Flore Bouffard, 96, of Saco, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017, at Seal Rock Heathcare Center in Saco.

She was born in Quebec, Canada on Aug. 17, 1920, a daughter of Joseph and Marie-Louse (St. Sauveur) Laliberte. She graduated from St. Andre Grammar School, Class of 1937.

On May 31, 1940, she married Edmond L. Bouffard in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Saco. He died on Feb. 22, 1994.

Mrs. Bouffard was a member of Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. She was a very religious person who attended Sunday Mass until the age of 95. She also loved to watch the daily Mass on EWTN. Every Thursday she participated in the weekly prayer group at Seal Rock. Her favorite pastime was to say the Rosary.

She retired from West Point Pepperell in 1984.

She was preceded in death by: her son, Richard; three brothers, Rosaire, Edouard, and Hector; and by four sisters, Marie-Ange, Marguerite, Cecile, and Noella.

She is survived by: five children, Rene Bouffard of Alfred, Rose Marie Gobeil and husband, Robert of Saco, Rachel Dinsmore of Rixeyville, Virginia, Roland Bouffard of Hollis Center and Ruth Beaman and husband, Frank of New Port Richey, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian Bburial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
