
Ida worked her way thru College at the University of Maine Orono. She met Ken working in the cafeteria and they were married in 1952. She was a Physical Ed teacher for several years and then devoted Mother and wife. Ida was a very talented lady. Well versed in Piano and Organ, accomplished painter and seamstress. She was a master flower show judge, judging such shows as the Boston Flower show. She also had a wedding flower business with a dear friend Marilyn. Not only did she spend many years sailing, even racing with Ken and Sylvia. She also taught Sunday school while Sylvia was growing up. She drove Sylvia all over the place with her horse, she made all of her horse show outfits. She even took on the show secretary duties for a couple of horse associations.
A celebration of Life will be held 3 pm July 1st, 2017 at 1480 Harpswell Neck Road in Harpswell, Maine. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to http://harpswellnurseryschool.org scholarships, or Midcoast Hunger Prevention program https://www.mchpp.org.
