BRUNSWICK — Medication Take-Back Day will be held Saturday, April 29. Local law enforcement agencies in collaboration with Mid Coast Hospital and other community organizations are hosting five local collection points. Anyone wanting to safely dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired medications may do so from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at any of these community collection locations:

• Bath Police Department, 250 Water St.

• Brunswick Police Department, 85 Pleasant St.

• Harpswell Town Office, 263 Mountain Road

• Richmond Police Department, 26 Gardiner St.

• Topsham Police Department, 100 Main St.

Prescription pills, over-thecounter medications, and veterinary medications are all accepted at the collection, as well as ointments and drops. Needles and thermometers are not accepted.

Medication Take-Back Day, overseen nationally by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, aims to provide a safe and convenient way to dispose of prescriptions. Additionally, disposing of medications reduces the risk of diversion, misuse, and abuse.
