WELLS — Renee Marcelle (Ihlen) Bukovskey, 77, of Wells, passed away on her own terms and held in love by her family at her home on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born in Chaumont, France on Sept. 12, 1939, the daughter of the late Eugene Ihlen and Jeanne Chaudet. Renee was raised and educated in Chaumont where she met the love of her life, Lawrence (Skey) and married him on Sept. 19, 1959.

They had three children and ventured on many journeys together as a military family. Renee and Skey retired after 26 years of living the Air Force life and settled down in Maine. There they enjoyed fishing, hunting, working together on their house and yard but most of all their family.

Renee is preceded in death by: her husband, Lawrence A. Bukovskey, who passed on Aug. 22, 2012.

Renee is survived by: three children, James and wife, Kim, of Gray, Joanne and husband, Wes, of Tolleson, Arizona, and Larry of Somersworth, New Hampshire; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Jacqueline and Michele of Tampa, Florida, as well as nieces and nephews.

Renee’s family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Gosnell Hospice and especially to the visiting nurses and aides when she was at home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale. Burial will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
