This ewe, Amelia, gave birth unassisted to rare quadruplets on a frigid March 11 night at the Westbrook farm owned by Arthur Randall, according to his son Matt Randall of Gorham. The three little males and one female – Branch, Pope, Prince and Poppy, who is looking at the camera –are owned by 4-H students Caitlin, Shannon and Christian Randall of Gorham and William Thiele of Westbrook.  Amelia and her lambs were relocated Sunday to their permanent home in Gorham where the children will care for them. Matt Randall said the lambs are the same breed as the famous “Dolly,” the first cloned sheep. He believes the likelihood of quadruplets is about one in 400.
