Ken was born March 25, 1948 in Biddeford, the son of Forrest Wayne and Edith Bradbury Horne, and is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, Class of 1967.
He has operated D & D Auto in Lebanon for over 25 years, and had an incredible knack with fixing cars.
In his spare time, he enjoyed music, and loved to DJ Karaoke nights at the Sanford VFW and was always trying to get more dancers onto the floor.
He was a charter member of the VFW Auxillary in Sanford, and took pride in the work he did to support the VFW.
Ken always found time for his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them whenever he could.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Donna Martin Horne of West Kennebunk; a son, Kenneth W. Horne Jr. of Tyrone Georiga; four daughters, Barbara Ann Cote of Burlington, Vermont, Lori Ann Mathews of Lebanon, Maine, Karen Ann Copp of Sanford, and Chelsea Horne of Cranston, Rhode Island; a sister, Virginia Ricker of West Kennebunk; grandchildren Jeremy Mathews, Lakyn Webber, Darian Copp, Kevin and Kayla Horne, Madison, Ben, Abby, and Mallory McLmore, Zachary and Emma Amelia Leone; and great-grandchildren Mason, Kingston, Thea, Hannah, Garrett, and Parker.
A private service will be held at a later date.
