WATERBORO — The Massabesic boys tennis team fell to visiting Windham 4-1 on Thursday afternoon.

Joel Van Tassell was Massabesic’s lone winner, picking up a 1-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory over Stephan Sepulveda. Windham’s Trevor Crowley would then top Alex Herrick 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 while teammate Vireak tray beat Chase Stearns 6-0, 6-2.

Windham’s Jacob Frost and Ben White would later top Dan Bolender and Noah Perry 6-1, 6-3 in the doubles competition, while Windham’s Zach DeFosse and Ben White pushed past Justin Raymond and Michael Morin 6-1, 6-1.

Massabesic falls to 1-4 this spring.

Biddeford 14, Deering 4

The Tigers picked up a big 14-4 win over Deering on Thursday.

Biddeford jumped ahead early, getting three runs in he first on an RBI triple by Katie Stewart and an RBI single from Alex Chase. Biddeford would maintain the lead the rest of the way, and scored runs in all but one inning.

Chase led the Tigers with four hits and four RBIs while Brook Davis, Chantel Perreault, Abby O’Connor, Taylor Wildes and Amber Magnant were repeat hitters.

Katie Stewart got the win in the circle for Biddeford, pitching six innings and striking out six.

Wells 13, Freeport 2

The Warriors continued to impress with a 13-2 win over Freeport on Thursday.

Sara Ring led the Warriors going 2-for-4 with an RBI double and solo homerun. Olivia Durfee and Karissa Kenyon each had two hits while Casi Haye hit a two-run double.

Kenyon got the win for Wells, pitching six innings with 12 strikeouts while Hannah Moody closed out the game in the seventh.

Girls Lacrosse

Biddeford 17, Westbrook 3

The Tigers picked up a lopsided 17-3 win over Westbrook on Thursday.

Grace Boisvert led the Tigers with a game-high five goals while Peyton McKeown added four goals and three assists. Paige Laverriere, Hailey Allen and Angie Fitzgerald each tallied two scores while Serena Speight scored another.

Eliza Gilliam and Ella Mckenzie combined for eight saves in the cage for Biddeford.
