The Westbrook American reported on May 22, 1957, that Faye Christensen and Ronnie Hurd were crowned king and queen at Westbrook Junior High School during a talent show.

Joseph G. Pratt of Westbrook, 83, died in a Gorham nursing home after a long illness. He was a retired rural letter carrier.
