A quick start powered the Brunswick High School boys lacrosse team to a 15-8 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Lewiston on Thursday.
The Dragons, 9-0 and slated to visit Oxford Hills on Monday at 4:30 p.m., led 8-2 at the half.
Josh Dorr scored five goals to power Brunswick, with Aiden Glover adding four goals and an assist, and brother Christian Glover picking up a hat trick.
Connor Pendergast had 12 saves in the Dragons’ net.

Chad Bickford scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Rams to a crossover win over the Shipbuilders at Augusta.
Morse is 3-4 and hosts Mt. Ararat on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Declan Hall led the Shipbuilders with two goals, while Braden Olson, Ethan Brown, Cameron Marco, Jacob Brochu and Ethan Pascuzzo also scored.
Bickford picked up a game-high four goals for Cony (5-3).

Kaleb Barret tallied three goals, but the host Falcons fell to 1-6 with a Western Maine Conference setback to Kennebunk (4-4) at Pownal Recreation Field.
The Rams were frustrated by the efforts of Freeport goaltender Garrison Thompson, who had 19 saves.
Connor Dostie added two goals and an assist for the Falcons, who visit St. Dom’s on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Softball
RICHMOND — Meranda Martin tossed a four-hitter and picked up three singles at the plate as Richmond rolled to a 17-2 crossover win over St. Dom’s.
Cassidy Harriman also singled three times for the Bobcats (11-0), who host Forest Hills in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Mackenzie Abbott singled twice and tripled, with Camryn Hurley picking up two hits, including a double, and Sydney Underhill-Tilton singling twice.
Martin struck out three.
Rhiannon Hersey drew the mound assignment for the Saints. She allowed 14 hits and walked three with six strikeouts.

The visiting Broncos scored three insurance runs in the seventh inning to pull away from the Eagles in Topsham.
Sydney Hatch allowed just three hits in the Hampden Academy win, while Emily Dysart, Julia Sicard, Becca Cyr and Hatch had two hits apiece.
Samantha Gonyea doubled for Mt. Ararat (8-2), while Zoe Stilphen and Kayleigh Temple each singled.
The Eagles visit Cony today at 4:15 p.m.

The host Greyhounds jumped out early and rolled to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Bulldogs (4-6).
Lisbon improved to 8-3 and hosts Mountain Valley today at 4 p.m.
Mallory Fairbanks had a two-run triple for Lisbon.
Baseball
LISBON — Lisbon rallied with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh but came up just short, 7-6, in Mountain Valley Conference action.
Cole Bolduc led the way at the plate for Lisbon (8-3), going 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Tyler Halls tripled and scored twice, while Noah Austin went 2-for-4 and crossed home plate once.
Tim Cookson hit the eventual game-winning, two-RBI double in the top of the seventh for Hall-Dale (7-4). Akira Warren went 3-for-4 and scored twice, with Austin Stebbins stroking two hits and Jacob Brown doubling.
On the mound, Lisbon’s Ryley Austin went four innings, striking out four and giving up two earned runs on four hits. Lucas Francis (three innings, five strikeouts, two runs) came in on relief for the Greyhounds, who were plagued by five errors in the field.
Cole Lockhart got the nod for Hall-Dale, giving up five runs on nine hits over five innings.
Lisbon hosts Mountain Valley today at 4 p.m.
