SANFORD — Sanford Parks and Recreation is hosting National Kids to Parks Day on Saturday.

Staff will be on hand at three of Sanford and Springvale’s parks 9:30 to 11:30 a.m Saturday — at Springvale Park at the end of John Street;  Benton Park on Roberts Street and Carpentier Park on High Street.

Organizers say Parks and Recreaiton staff will have a variety of equipment for the kids to play with along with the  play structures already at each of these parks.  

Parents are encouraged to stay and play too say organizers, and no registration needed – just show up.
