Augusta Country Club’s team of Tom Bean, Mike Nowak, Mark Plummer and Jim Quinn won the Maine State Golf Association’s Senior Club Team Championship for the second straight year Monday at Belgrade Lakes Golf Club.

The winners posted a score of 11-under 131 in the best two-of-four ball format.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame inducted its 2017 class at Merrill Auditorium in Portland on Sunday. Falmouth Country Club’s team of Glenn Amico, Tom Ellsworth, Gary Manoogian and Cash Wiseman and York Golf & Tennis Club’s team of Craig Briggs, Keith Erikson, Brent Merritt and Brent Mohr tied for second at 7-under 135.

Steve Little got his first hole-in-one on the 18th hole at Rockland Golf Club on May 19. Little used a 7-iron for the 125-yard shot, which was witnessed by Joe Adams and Bob Sommers.
