WEST BATH — Mary Anne Deehan Farnham, 87, born June 25, 1929 in Brunswick, went to join the Lord and the love of her life Robert Dean Farnham on Thursday May 25, 2017.

Mary moved from Brunswick to West Bath in 1940. She graduated from Morse High School in 1947 and married her high school sweetheart on June 19, 1948. He joined the Air Force and she followed him to Illinois, Mississippi, Texas, Michigan, Idaho and Nebraska. She came home to Maine only when he went to Korea and Greenland. After 20 years of traveling with the military they settled down in West Bath. Only hitting the road to motorhome with their friends all over Maine and wintering in Florida for many years.

Mary worked for several years for Sagadahoc County Registry of Deeds and volunteered at West Bath School. She and Bob were known by many children in West Bath as “Bus Driver Bob” and “Pinky” due to her pinkish hue hair at the time.

Mary is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, her parents Francis Deehan and Gladys Whitmore Deehan.

She is survived by daughter Candyce E.

Robert M. Nesbitt (wife Heather) and Derek P. Nesbitt and her great granddaughter, Dahlia Lucille Nesbitt.

Visiting hours will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday June 1, 2017 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath. The entrance to the cemetery is of the Old Brunswick Road.
