LEBANON — Norman Roscoe Skillings Jr., 61, of Maple St., passed away May 26, 2017, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born in Biddeford, July 22, 1955, the son of Norman and Maxine Vance Skillings.

Norman attended local schools and later graduated from Biddeford High School. He served in the U.S. Army and after his service to his country, he did CNA training at Catawba Community College in North Carolina. Norman also did truck driver training.

He was employed by Jolly John Auto, Barber foods, Humpty Dumpty, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Palco Air Cargo and the City of Hickory, North Carolina.

Norman enjoyed motorcycles, old cars, knives, guns, vinyl records, and Hifi stereo.

He is survived by: his wife, Linann Skillings; four sons, Norman Skillings III, Eric Skillings, Brandon W. Skillings and Ian S. Skillings; a daughter, Katie Lynn Skillings; a brother, Ricky Skillings and wife, Terry; a sister, Cathy Skillings-Murach and husband, Bob; and six grandchildren, Norman IV, Isabella, Calvin, Eric Jr., Tyson and George.

A memorial service will be held at noon Friday June 2, 2017, at the Maine Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Springvale, 87 Stanley Road, Springvale. Pastor Merle Mitchell will officiate.

Dennett, Craig & Pate, 365 Main St., Saco, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
