BOWDOIN — Donald Albert Letourneau, 69, longtime resident of Bowdoin died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Brunswick, ME on October 15, 1947 a son of Albert and Caroline (Carter) Letourneau and attended Brunswick schools.

Donald served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during the Vietnam War earning a Bronze Star Award for his service. Following his time in the military he was employed for many years at Bath Iron Works and upon his retirement from there he and his wife owned and operated a Laundromat/Dry Cleaning company in Topsham for over 20 years.

Donald is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cheryl A. (Dyer) Letourneau of Bowdoin, two sons, Jeff Letourneau of Brunswick, Shawn and his wife Paula Letourneau of Gardiner, two daughters, Christy and her husband Rick Snowdon of Georgetown, Sarah and her husband Rick Snowdale of Bowdoinham, and six grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from 1-3 and 5-7PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 11:00Am on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend Ron McLaughlin officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Bay View Cemetery, Bowdoinham.
