TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee baseball team earned a pair of wins over Cony in recent action.
In the opener, the Rams jumped out to an 8-0 lead, but the Eagles rallied for an 11-10 walk-off win.
Ryan Mello came on to pitch in the second inning and shut down Cony for five innings, with Dakota Lopez pitched the seventh. Lopez also knocked in the winning run. Mello and Lopez led the offense with a double and single. Elliot Bowie, Nathan Taylor, Austin Damon, Ben Freeman, Kyle Secone and Jacob Laurance all singled.
On the mound Damon, Mello and Lopez combined for nine strikeouts, four walks and hit three batters.
In game two, Mt. Ararat scored eight runs in the first inning and rolled to an 11-2 win.
Bowie doubled, with Devin Tobin, Freeman, Damon, and Taylor each singling. Lopez and Will Kavanaugh combined for five strikeouts and four walks on the mound.
