BRUNSWICK
Brunswick police are looking for two men they say robbed a Cushing Street man Monday night after the three had been drinking together.
Brunswick Police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said officers were called to Cushing Street at 11:49 p.m. for a reported robbery.
Waltz said a 62-year-old man was robbed by two of his drinking partners, both men, who took less than $1,000 in cash and fled.
The police department called in a tracking dog but the dog was unable to find the suspects.
The two suspects are acquaintances of the victim, Waltz said, “and we’re currently out looking for them.”
The victim was not hurt. The incident is considered a strong arm robbery because the suspects used physical force. Based on information police have now, Waltz said the men face robbery charges, a Class B crime punishable by up to 10 years incarceration and a $20,000 fine.
