Brunswick police say two men suspected of robbing the man they’d been drinking with were arrested Wednesday.

The robbery was reported Monday at 11:49 p.m. by 62-year-old Russell Williams of Cushing Street.

Williams was robbed by two men he’d been consuming alcohol with at his home, according to police.

Williams identified the alleged robbers as Wendall Casler II, 39, of Topsham and Derik Dall, 30, of Brunswick.

The two allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash from Williams using physical force. Police would only say the amount was less than $1,000. Williams was not injured and no weapons were involved.

According to a statement issued by Brunswick Police Cmdr. Mark Waltz, both men were arrested Wednesday.

Dall turned himself in to Patrolman Cory Iles and Det. William Moir at 1 p.m. and was charged with robbery, a Class B crime punishable by up to 10 years incarceration and a $20,000 fine.

Casler was located on Pleasant Street in Brunswick at 2:19 p.m. by Brunswick Patrolman Matthew Nicholson, Det. Jerod Verrill and Sagadahoc County Det. Chad Carleton.

Casler was arrested on a probation hold.
